Elating to their respective environments and resources. Vernacular architecture is traditional in a way that it originates from specific ethnic groups and is a result of a long process over time. Beyond sustainability, vernacular architecture sheds light on another fundamental issue today. It represents the cultural identity of a certain ethnic group and becomes a tool for strengthening the bond between the population and its geographic location, fostering a sense of belonging to the space in which they live.


This design caters to the couple just moved to the outskirts of Odissa, amidst abundance of nature. The tradition, the art forms and the local architecture of the place are the key aspects of the design. These are then summed up in form of interactive and functional spaces. These spaces are attuned in its most minimal way, so as to encapsulate the memories that they come across. As space contributes to the meanings of those memories without being obvious about its role in constructing them.
